ReviewPush is Now Offering Competitor Watch to Independent and Multi-Location Restaurants

Competitor Watch lets independent and multi-location restaurants see how their Google rating and review count stack up against up to five nearby competitors.

AUSTIN, Texas — August 31, 2026 — ReviewPush is now offering Competitor Watch to everybody, with independent and multi-location restaurants which the tool it is built for. The new tool lets a restaurant see how it stacks up against nearby competitors on Google Maps, where nearby diners decide where to eat.

A restaurant can add up to five competitors to watch. For each one, Competitor Watch shows the average Google rating and number of Google reviews next to the restaurant’s own numbers.

In a Seattle seafood restaurant example from the ReviewPush dashboard, Ivar’s Acres of Clams shows a 4.30 average Google rating and 9,530 reviews, against a 4.23 average among selected nearby competitors.

“We built this feature because most restaurants aren’t sure if their current Google rating and number of reviews is good, bad or average,” said Lee McNiel, founder and CEO of ReviewPush. “When you compare it with nearby restaurants, you get a lot more context, and it helps you better understand your current Google rating and number of reviews.”
